Anyone knows how I can get cash for my car which didn’t pass smog check? I could have gotten 00 from the state but miss the opportunity to do it because I declare the car inoperative. It still runs but didn’t pass smog check. I try everything to get it to pass. Will cost more to fix then to sell it. Any help would be great.

I know Epic (http://www.autoskill.net/dws/epic/index.htm) and Westside (http://verizonsupersite.com/westsideautorecyclingcom/faqs/ ) would take my car. But are these the best option out there.
–I have read that there is not such thing as donating your car to a charity because these “company” that you donate are in it to make a profit.

What charity would you recommend.?

Consider donating the car to a charity. They will give you the retail value of the car and you can use it as a tax deduction. I have done it before and gotten a writeoff of 1200.00 which reduced my taxes from having to pay to getting a small refund.
Just shop around for a legitimete charity that will give you the most money value for the donation.
