- 'Flood' will leave you dry (IANS Movie Review)
depends if its got electrical damage (they try to start b4 draining everything) everything in cars is waterproof u can completly submerge one and have running same day but if u try to start it it will be an electrical short and screw everything up just like if u drop phones in water wait till it dries and itll work. but if no electrical damage it wouldnt be that hard just new carpet and seats and stuff
It´s gonna cost you a lot, specially electrical problems, corrosion problems and upholstery problems, so get your bill on it.
It’s really not a very good idea…I’ve never bought a flood car, thank goodness, but I’ve seen a few. Problems can be many…mold in the interior, electrical problems, water in the oil/transmission fluid…there is a huge risk. That’s not the worst of it…problems tend to get worse over time, so even if you catch up with the current batch of issues there is no telling what failures might occur earlier than they normally would.
I wouldn’t risk it, but if you are up for the adventure and risk, see if you can bribe a mechanic to go with you.
usually a flood damaged car has been fixed and has a reconstructed title so there is no need for repair, if this is not the case there is no point in purchasing the vehicle because the repair bill is going to be pretty high and even then you have to get a reconstructed title which drastically lowers the re-sale price of the vehicle no-matter how well it has been restored, you’re better off spending more money on a car with a clean title because you will get much more money when you go to re-sell your car.
