Question by Someone: I need help with reading between the lines of this for legal reasons. I will really appreciate ANY help.?
Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act – section 17.46(b) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code’ The failure to disclose information concerning goods or services known at the time of the transaction and was used to induce the consumer into a transaction whom otherwise would not have entered had the information been disclosed.

Would this apply to a dealer selling me a vehicle “AS IS” but not disclosing to me that the car was salvaged. I even asked him he said no but I know I will not be able to prove that in court but to me this seems like if you are selling something that has a major defect that you are aware of that you are to disclose it. He is a small registered dealer. Most bigger car dealers told me that they always include the salvage information clearly in the bill of sale to avoid any legal recourse. Will the “AS IS” save him in court?

No it will not. By law he should have informed you. If you or anyone sells someone something they must tell you what is wrong with it.
The section you mentioned above is to prosecute him. You can also sue him. Make a complaint. If you do sue him, I wish you the best of luck. In my opinion (not legally) he is a thief and deserves anything and everything that happens to him.
