Question by Matahari: What does “Salvage” mean on a car?
I just bought this car http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching&viewitem=&item=280189452463&_trksid=p3907.m32 but didn’t pay attention to the word “salvage” on the title. The description says We recently purchased this vehicle from an insurance company, As you can see from the 34+ pictures it took a hit to the right front you will need front bumper, and a right head light,)right fog light is in the trunk) that is it… yep THATS IT!!!!. Besides for a little dent on the left quarter panel the rest of the Sedan is in great shape and the interior is clean and complete.
What does salvage mean and is it possible that the car has more defects than the description says and is not repaireble as easily? If so, what will happen if I don’t pay the seller and don’t pick it up {bought it on Ebay}

It means that it has been wrecked (or flooded, something like that) and then rebuilt and yes it can have a lot more defects then you know about. Most of the time they arent worth the money that you save on them
