Fields of Fire is a fictional book written by a guy, I think his name is Blish or something—he is now a Senator, and his son is in Iraq. good read.

MacNamera, sec of state under Kennedy and Johnson, wrote about Vietnam. “We were wrong, terribly wrong.” he has a book out. Have heard it’s good.

I only know of one Non-Fiction book. It is excellent, but difficult to read, since it tells the unvarnished truth about Vietnam, from the beginning to the end. I believe it was called ” A bright shining lie”
I read it many years ago, it was especially important for me to read, since I have a loved one who served in Vietnam.

    two books I liked were:

“America’s Longest War”, by George C. Herring and

“Sacred War. Nationalism and Revolution in a Divided Vietnam”, by William J. Duiker
